Fort Bliss is a United States Army post in El Paso, Texas, near the Mexican border. It is spread over parts of El Paso and Doña Ana counties, and includes parts of the city of El Paso and city of Las Cruces. It is the largest active duty armored military installation in the United States, covering 1,700 acres and housing almost 40,000 troops.
