For a more active date, why not try out a few watersports on King Edward’s Bay. The GoApe Treetop Adventure is perfect for an adventurous first date, with zip wires and rope bridges to explore. North Shields is also home to a number of traditional high street stores and independent shops, as well as a number of parks, gardens and green spaces, which are perfect for a picnic. For a more unusual date, the nearby Riverside Ice Rink is a great spot for some fun on the ice.
